New Canaan Demolition after a Storm
The groundwater gushed into the first-floor level of this home in New Canaan. The engineered wood planks warped beyond salvaging. The contaminated water wicked up the walls and also damaged the trim work. The After Photo shows how SERVPRO technicians applied their knowledge, skills, and equipment to minimize the demolition. The concrete pad is exposed for drying--which will take many days. The wall studs and sheathing are exposed, ready to receive an antimicrobial spray. This inhibits mold growth and also provides sanitation and disinfection against possible pathogens from the stormwater. The storm-damaged structure is now ready for the build back. We also work with our customers insurance company to simplify the claims process and control costs.
